VICKSBURG, Miss. — WVBG Radio is once again putting Mississippi on the national map after being selected as the exclusive radio outlet to cover the 91st NFL Draft, which begins Thursday, April 23, 2026, in Pittsburgh.
Mandy Harris, Marty May and David Wilson will represent both the station and the state during the three-day event. WVBG Radio — including V105.5, NewsTalk 107.7 and www.vicksburgradio.com — will provide live, wall-to-wall coverage across all platforms, with streaming available worldwide.
This year marks Harris’ fourth consecutive trip to the draft, further establishing her presence among some of football’s most recognized media professionals.
“I love football and I love broadcasting,” Harris said. “I have a degree in sports management and specialized in analytics, so I enjoy being around NFL analysts and having the opportunity to talk with them in person. I’ve learned so much from being around these greats, and I hope to continue bringing the best coverage possible back to our station in Vicksburg. I also love interviewing and spending time with the prospects each year.”
The NFL Draft remains one of the league’s premier offseason events, where all 32 teams select top college talent to strengthen their rosters. Spanning three days, the draft opens with the highly anticipated first round, followed by additional rounds that often reveal breakout stars and overlooked prospects.
“You never really know what kind of drama will unfold during the draft with players or teams,” Wilson said. “There was a lot of talk last year about Sanders that went on for days. Trades in the first round can throw everyone off, so you have to be prepared for anything.”
May added that the experience goes beyond the draft itself.
“Meeting the professionals has always stood out to me,” May said. “From NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell to greats like Jerome Bettis and Johnny Mitchell, and even Mark Cuban at a special AI sports event, it’s been an incredible experience.”
Each year, the host city rotates, and Pittsburgh is expected to draw large crowds, fan experiences and national media attention throughout the weekend. Beyond the football spotlight, the event also delivers a significant economic and cultural boost to the host city.
With exclusive coverage, WVBG Radio will give listeners across Vicksburg, Mississippi and the world a front-row seat to every key moment—from headline-making first-round picks to surprises—as the next generation of NFL talent begins its journey.
Harris said that she would like to thank the sponsors for helping them get to the event this year. Former Cadence Bank (now Huntington National Bank), Patriot MotorSports, Rey Azteca Mexican Restaurant, Delta Outfitters Farm and Garden, Details By Daffron, Cannon Toyota and Cannon Honda, Wells and LaHatte and Waterview Casino.
Listeners are encouraged to tune in on the dial or stream online beginning at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 23, as Harris, May and Wilson bring live coverage directly from Pittsburgh.
