After a tough decision made by the directors, Racheal Hollowell and Mandy Harris, the Miss Vicksburg, Miss Riverbend, and Miss Key to the South Competitions will be postponed. The competitions were suppose to take place on October 4 at Parkside Playhouse but is being postponed to a later date due to multiple changes within the Miss America Organization recently. “The new registration process was changed and there was no way that we would be able to accommodate the participants that had already registered”, said Harris. Hollowell expressed that they do plan on hosting the competitions at a later date this year.
Miss Vicksburg, Miss Riverbend and Miss Key to the South are all preliminary competitions for the Miss Mississippi Competition.
