About Emily Tillman
Emily Tillman has been a cornerstone of Vicksburg radio for over 15 years, serving as Program Director and Operations Manager for V105.5 and Newstalk 1490 since 2017. She is the host of The Mississippi Music Show, Emily’s Lunch and Learn, and the creator of the popular feature Did You Know Mississippi, which highlights the state’s rich cultural heritage.
A trailblazer in Mississippi broadcasting, Emily was the first woman to broadcast a football game live on radio in Vicksburg, breaking barriers in a traditionally male-dominated space. Her contributions to media and community earned her recognition as one of the Mississippi Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40 in 2024.
Emily serves as President of the Belzoni-Humphreys Development Foundation, the Heart of the Delta Foundation, and the World Catfish Festival. She also lends her expertise to the fundraising boards of Wister Gardens and the GRAMMY Museum Mississippi and serves on the executive board of the Boys and Girls Club of the Mississippi Delta.
Deeply committed to beautification and conservation, she is Vice President of the Belzoni Garden Club, an executive committee member of the Rolling Fork Garden Club, and a board member of both the Garden Clubs of Mississippi and Mississippi’s Lower Delta Partnership. As a certified Mississippi Master Naturalist, she integrates environmental education and native plant advocacy into her work.
Emily also serves as Vice President of her children’s school parent organization. She and her husband, Stephen Donovan, have been married for over 16 years and are the proud parents of two children.
