Haden Ashley Obituary
With heavy hearts we mourn the passing of our beloved son Haden Christopher Ashley, who left us far too soon on July 26, 2025 from complications of Duchenne’s Muscular Dystrophy. He was 20 years old and was a beloved son, grandson, cousin, nephew, friend and companion to all that knew him.
He was born March 9, 2005, in Vicksburg, MS and graduated from High School in 2024.
Raised in Vicksburg, MS, he participated in Make-A-Wish Foundation going to Hawaii in 2019 for a week long adventure, numerous hunting trips with his parents for exotics, whitetail deer and turkey, training and competing in Hunting Retriever Club events where he was loved by all.
Haden was a young man who lived life to the fullest with a heart of gold that touched everyone around him. Whether he was out in the woods hunting, fishing, or training his loyal dog Reload, he found peace in the outdoors and joy in adventure. His infectious smile and positivity were a beacon of light to all those fortunate enough to know him. Even on his toughest days he never let others see his struggles, always prioritizing the happiness of those around him. A young man who was always happy and never spoke a word of negativity, he had an unwavering belief in the goodness of the world. He cherished his family deeply and was happiest when everyone gathered together. Whether it was his best buddy Ron or with dear friends Nick, Laney, Nate or PK, Haden knew how to make everyone feel loved and valued.
When he wasn’t outdoors he would religiously tune into Elevate Church Services. His faithfulness to God never wavered. Other times he could be found gaming on the PlayStation where he especially enjoyed Fortnite, Madden, or Hunter Call of the Wild. His love for life was as evident in those virtual worlds as it was in real life. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan, cheering them on when they played.
He is survived by his parents Heather and Chris of Vicksburg; Grandparents Mike and Rinda Haden, David Ashley, and Virginia Carr; Great-grandmother, Gertrude Haden; Uncle Michael Haden; and numerous great aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is proceeded in death by numerous family members including Gina McMorris, Eddie Haden, and J.B. Haden.
Haden leaves behind a legacy of joy, positivity, and boundless love. He will be forever missed by his family, friends and all those who were lucky enough to know him. His laughter, smile, warmth, and endless compassion and love will live on in our hearts.
Rest in peace Haden, your love and light will forever shine in all of us and never fade.
