August 21, 1989 ~ March 13, 2026 (age 36)
Delana Rachelle Norris passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026, at the age of 36.
Delana was born on August 21, 1989. She grew up in Vicksburg and graduated from Warren Central High School, where she formed many lasting friendships and memories.
Delana had a vibrant spirit and found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She was a Carnival Cruise Line enthusiast who loved traveling, especially when it meant seeing the beach and taking in the peaceful views of the ocean. The sound of the waves and the warmth of the sun were places where she felt most at peace.
She had a deep love for animals and a tender heart for all creatures. Her beloved dogs, Bruno (d. 2025), Kaine, and Goose, were not just pets but treasured companions who filled her days with laughter and comfort. Delana also enjoyed collecting Precious Moments figurines, snowman décor, and sunflower artwork—things that reflected her bright, warm personality.
Music was another passion that brought her great comfort. Delana loved country music and especially enjoyed attending concerts whenever she had the chance. She was an avid fan of many female country artists and treasured the memories of seeing performers such as Reba McEntire and Carrie Underwood live in concert. Those experiences were moments she truly cherished.
She is survived by her father, Samuel “Troy” Norris (Tracy); her mother, Martha Deaton; her sister, Brittany Morales (Julio); her brother, Glen Deaton; her grandmother, Claudia Norris Stanford; her uncle, Randy Norris (Renee); her aunt, Kimberly Barlow (Mark); and numerous cousins and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Samuel A. Norris, Joseph “JC” Barnes, and Velma Barnes Bishop.
Delana’s time here on Earth was far too short. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all. May the memories of her smile, her kind heart, and the love she shared bring comfort to all those who knew her.
